Is it really free?
Yes — free for you, always. When you switch through us the retailer pays us a commission. That commission never changes the price you pay, and it never affects how plans are ranked: plans are ordered by estimated annual cost for your usage.
Which retailers do you compare?
We compare residential electricity and gas plans from our panel of partner retailers, alongside major retailers' standing offers shown for reference. We don't cover the whole market — if you want every plan out there, the government's free Energy Made Easy site (energymadeeasy.gov.au) compares them all independently.
How accurate are the estimates?
Plan rates come straight from the Australian Energy Regulator's official pricing data — the same source that powers Energy Made Easy — and we price them against your household's estimated usage for your exact distribution network. They're a solid guide, but they're still estimates, not a quote. Your specialist confirms exact pricing before anything changes.
Do you need my meter details?
No. Your address and a few details about your household are enough for us to price plans on your distribution network. If you have a recent bill handy it can sharpen the estimate, but it's completely optional.
What happens after I pick a plan?
